I like it!!

I especially like the feeling of this soundtrack - it's a little bit hopeless and icy. :-)
Which is a contrast to the warmth and security of the big steam engine. :-)

Keep bringing in the instruments! :D
I heard you can throw endless ressources on those instrument files,
10 years ago a grand piano with 4 GB RAM usage was the biggest one could find- I'm pretty sure it's much more now. :P

Well I got 16 GB RAM (needed this for rendering pictures in Terragen 2) in my machine, so it wouldn't be a real problem to put in some very very high quality soundfonts or VST instruments. But the size of the soundfont files depends on how good the real instrument was sampled. The problem is there are actually no good resources for those files in the net. The few I discovered and tested intensively some years ago are still the best you can find. That's why I usually use VST instruments which are modelled after their originals (i.e Xhun Audio LitteOne as a Mini-Moog Synth).

What about something like that:

I do like the fist song they play. You can also find it in the demo selection. :D
I don't know why I clicked on the ad for those strings some months ago. I like how it sounds.

That is a VST instrument but 48 GB of sampled data!

I think I'll first try it with my sounds I have so far, besides I don't have the money (300 EUR) to buy this.

Wait, you are acquainted with Terragen?
Show some pictures! :D

And can Terragen maybe produce some nice Icy-Snowy-Landscapes?
What about something like this one, but with more clouds and from the bottom?

Some of them are made with Terragen 1. "Creek" is my latest picture.

Yes, indeed but I don't think the images would fit into the comic-style images TZoli already made. Terragen's aim is to be as accurate as possible when generating ultra-realistic landscapes. And I think that "ultra-realistic" is more for games sitting on top of the CryEngine or something.

It's not comic style it's more like my lack of skill, though I do like the black outlines.

Don't underestimate yourself. I always failed in art class at school :D

I think you did a great job recreating the original images. +1
