 Ideas galore: additional Features

Huh, you are following me around, that's good. :D

I'm not quite sure if atomics should be a extra branch in the tech tree or if it's just a one-time-find,
you know, after you finish 8 connected quests in a row for this you find an ancient stranded submarine (or something) and your techicians are able to extract the working reactor. You put this in your electric locomotive (or in an extra wagon which then is providing energy for free and forever) and you always have the basic power to at least go like 100 km/h and you can never again die of 'no coal/fuel' anymore.
If you, however, have some coal/fuel left you go as fast as the locomotive can.

This could also be the 'end tech' you can unlock at the end of the 'tesla tech tree branch'.
For Diesel it could be a big cannon and for steam maybe the idea of the perpetual motion engine which will keep you in motion like the atomic reactor or something.

I'm really open as for HOW you get those tech - but I really like tech which is really helping the user in the game (not just 'ammo +10%') even it might be very expensive.

When I written Atomics I meant the weapons. Nukes:
Nuclear-, Hydrogen-, Neutron-, Dirty Bombs.

Nukes, hmm!
Since you can destroy trains with the rockets you don't really need nukes in the game right now.
Maybe for some mission where you need to wipe out a enemy Hub?

To give the user the ability to eradicate all the cities... oh... hmm.
If the user want's to go 'to the dark side'... mission: eradicate city X... :D

Well it's more like the Nuclear Arsenal of the world's nations even after 700years they are usable no?
I can imagine that the various Unions like the Viking Union have a few in stock in top secret warehouse.

What do you think can someone do in a post-apocalyptic world with some nukes?
Gather 20 of them and make em ready and take the world hostage? :D
Maybe that could be a good pirate goal to ultimate victory: Get 20 nukes, then the world will fall into anarchy. :D

Another idea:
Each time you visit a town (any kind) you can ask people around when they seen trains pass or arrive near the town.

Recently thought about this:
A secondary story line featuring the Transarctica itself, it's story, how it was built, and it's sister Locomotives especially the very first one: Thought to believed hidden on the was snow desert of Antarctica the No.01 Locomotive of the Transarctica line! Names could be added later.
The player could get bits of information at towns and when meeting the other sister Locomotives/Trains at the other regions.

Nice idea.
This needs a good backstory since in a world like Transarctica it would not be very cheap to produce not one but 2 or 3 of the 'worlds biggest' locomotives. :)

I though every region have her Transarctica as the command train of that Union, with maybe one stolen by pirates.
Antarctica: No.1 (Antarctica actually a good name for this locomotive :) )
Eurasia: No.2 (Transarctica)
America (Don't know if both America should be one region or not): No.3 (Snow Queen?)
Australasia: No 4. (Shinkansen? White Chrysantenium?)
Africa: No.5 (Something arabic maybe?)
If Americas are two regions than that means 6 Transarcticas.
In towns and industrial towns you can collect bits of information of the locomotives history

I totally like this idea!
This is a nice addition around the original game but adding also so much new stuff that it's not just a rip-off.

Antarctic Baron could be a game title or something.
Or Arctic Steam Engine... or something.
