Sometimes I read some text - like this one - and I think I already answered.
But I didn't! :o

What about this logo font: http://www.fontspace.com/douglas-day/gardeniavictorian
It is free to use and could be nice on the title screen.

It would be nice to find some international in game text fonts too. Conditions should be:
  • Free to use
  • Easy to read
  • International (has at least à, á, ó, ö, ü, è, é, í, ű, ő in it, to support German, French, Hungarian etc.)
  • Has both regular and capital letters
  • Looks like victorian (optional)

Found one such: http://www.dafont.com/akaposse.font?tex ... Ar%F3g%E9p

It's not perfect (only an example here) because regular letters in this font are only smaller capitals so it is not comfortable for the eye.

Old English Text MT is the closest to the Transarctica one I've found some time ago:
http://ufonts.com/download/old-english- ... 31243.html

Except for ő and ű it have all the letters

Unfortunately Old English Text MT is a proprietary font that can be licenced from Microsoft here. Of course there are other gothic fonts we may find but I would rather avoid them.

Firstly, in my opinion, it is much harder to read than the original game font because of the edge ornaments of the letters. And if you compare the letters one by one against the game's font there are too much differences.

If you take a closer look on the game font it is curly everywhere. Gothic fonts are curly here and there but has many sharp edges. Like art deco fonts. The game font reminds me to a font I used back at the nineties. It was Arabia, but it had many accented letters missing. I found another variant of Arabia that has all the necessary letters.

But it is still not perfect as still more ornamentical than the original font and curly on another way.

I wonder if we are talking about the same font. As in game font I think about this:

You can compare with the images below. Boecklins Universal is a better match I thing, but I would like to find something more simple yet curved.

Yes that is true, but it looks good in my eyes somewhat corresponding with the interior design of the wagons. Few said they got the Belle Epoque style.

This is a different text on this champagne but not bad in my opinion:
